Who’s Behind Side Hustle Database?

Side Hustle Database

Hey there! I’m Anthony Smith, the founder of Side Hustles Database.

I’m an internet entrepreneur involved in many projects. I earned my business degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

I started this site because I believe in the hustle, instead of the traditional 9-5 grind.

After graduation, I worked at a business consulting firm while taking on freelance writing projects on the side. It was during this time that I discovered the potential of blogging as a lucrative business. I joined a few blogging courses and created a website about dogs, which was later sold for $100k.

In 2017, I also tried my hand at eCommerce. It was my friend who asked me to join his venture – an Amazon FBA store selling toys. He didn’t ask me to invest any money; I’d just be his manager. So I thought, why not? Together, we managed to build a six-figure ecommerce business and later sold it for $600k. With enough money, I decided to quit my job and become a full-time digital nomad.

Since then, I’ve earned over $3 million from various hustles and have had the privilege of traveling the world.

Now, I’m on a mission to help others find a side hustle and gradually achieve their dreams of financial freedom.

If I can build my business on nights and weekends after work, you can do it too. Everyone has their own reasons to side hustle:

  • Earn extra cash
  • Pay off student debt
  • Learn new skills
  • Quit their jobs

Whatever reason you have, I believe in your potential and I’m here to help.

This site has hundreds of side hustle ideas. It details my first-hand experiences as well as the actionable lessons I learned from fellow side hustle entrepreneurs.

Rating System

At Side Hustles Database, I’ve created a comprehensive rating system for recommending side hustles to readers from all walks of life. Here are the key metrics I consider:

  • Earning potential: Most hustles, like taking surveys, won’t cover bills, but others, like blogging, can help you quit your job.
  • Difficulty level: The skills needed to become successful in a particular hustle.
  • Commitment: The time required to manage your side hustle.
  • Initial cost: Every type of business requires an initial investment, ranging from a few hundred to thousands of dollars.
  • Passiveness: While most side hustles require active involvement, some can bring in passive income while you sleep.
  • Sustainability: It’s important to look for a hustle with a growing market demand.

I’m always refining my methodology. Feel free to reach out to me with any suggestions.

Remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to finding a side hustle that works for you. You might need to try your hand at a few to unlock your path to wealth.
